Sardinia, Italy’s second-largest island, is famous for its crystal-clear waters and Mediterranean beauty, for the Costa Smeralda, the visionary resort destination created by the Aga Khan in the 1960s, and for its lesser-known rugged interiors.
From September 11th to 15th, tourism professionals from the United States, Canada, and Brazil will be hosted in Sardinia for this educational journey, designed to deepen their knowledge of the destination and strengthen its visibility in the North and South American markets.
This fam trip, organized by the Regione Sardegna and ItaliAbsolutely, will explore the many faces of northern and central Sardinia, revealing beautiful coastal scenery, authentic villages, and the island’s rich cultural heritage. From the island of La Maddalena and the Costa Smeralda to the landscapes of Gallura and the inland areas of Nuoro, it will showcase the great diversity and appeal of this part of Sardinia.
Combining site inspections with cultural and gastronomic experiences, participants will enjoy local wine tastings and cooking classes, the Cortes Apertas festival, visits to Nuoro and Orgosolo, and the traditional singing and shepherd culture of the Tenores.
They will also stay in distinctive properties where the soul of Sardinia is represented not only through the warm welcome, but also through the area’s traditions, colours, flavours, and wines.
