Comptoir Libanais, a British chain renowned for its experiential concept inspired by the flavours and colours of the Middle East and North Africa, has opened in the new airside area of Venice Airport.
The atmosphere of traditional Middle Eastern souks
The venture is the result of the long-standing partnership between the brand which was founded in London by Tony Kitous, and Areas-MyChef, a global leader in travel catering. The Venice opening is the third in Italy, following its debut in 2024 at Milan Malpensa’s Terminal 1 and Rome Termini Station last July. Located on the first floor of the new airside departures area, the restaurant covers an area, with ample seating has an interior layout true to the brand’s philosophy, recreating the vibrant atmosphere and aesthetic of traditional Middle Eastern souks. Brightly coloured walls, colourful seating, hanging chandeliers baskets of flowers and the fragrances of spices create a unique, highly distinctive and visually striking concept.
Self-ordering and self-payment till points
To ensure a smooth service tailored to the needs of modern travellers, the outlet has four till points, including two digital kiosks dedicated to self-ordering and self-payment, which speed up the ordering process and minimize waiting times. The menu at Comptoir Libanais in Venice has been designed to cater for the whole day, from the early hours of the morning until late in the evening, meeting the needs of both passengers looking for a leisurely meal at a table and those requiring a quick, high-quality “grab & go” meal. Freshness, authenticity and sharing evoke the Arabic value of Karam (generosity) aad mmong the standout dishes on offer are hummus, baba ganoush, chicken shawarma, fattoush salads, tagine and couscous salad. There is also a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options, traditional breakfasts and fresh, homemade lemonades flavoured with orange blossom or mint, as well as mint tea and traditional drinks.
