Hilton Milan gets a makeover inspired by biophilic architecture

By Tuesday, 30 January 2024 08:00

Eight years after its last renovation, Hilton Milan is reinventing itself, inspired by the principles of biophilic architecture, a philosophy that places harmony between man and nature.

The indoor terrace will host events

Nicholas Hickson and Manuela Mannino of the architecture and interior design studio THDP also drew inspiration from the property’s Isola neighbourhood. This renovation started at the beginning of the year  with work on the 155 rooms in the west wing, which will be ready for Fashion Week in September. The terrace is also undergoing a major restyling to convert it into a versatile and modular indoor space, perfect for hosting events throughout the year. The renovation of the 165 rooms in the east wing, the suites and executive lounge will begin in September, and in the autumn the Pacific Restaurant will also be renovated.

“We expect to broaden our appeal to attract more leisure clients”

“With this renovation we expect to broaden our appeal, attracting more leisure clients who are attentive to the environment and looking for psychophysical well-being even when travelling,- explains general manager, Daniele Fabbri.  “For us it is an honour to return to work on the Hilton Milan project, after receiving the London Design Award for Best Lobby in 2017. Milan is a place close to our hearts, - adds Hickson.
