Ships and ferries arrive in Lipari and Vulcano, while hydrofoils and boats provide connections between the islands, allowing visitors to join tours or follow itineraries that encompass all the islands. Or opt for a holiday staying on a single island and then venture out to explore the others.

Panarea is renowned as the island frequented by VIPs, with its glamorous ambiance and white and blue houses. Alicudi represents a journey back in time, devoid of roads or transportation options, where travel is mainly on foot or by donkey.
