The Vacanze col Cuore group will open the new Trasimeno Glamping Resort in Umbria on 28 June.
“We are breathing new life into an area that was already a campsite”
“We are expanding on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, in a green paradise directly overlooking the lake. Our new resort in Magione is in the province of Perugia,- explains the founder, Loek Van de Loo. “As with our other resorts in the past, we are breathing new life into an area that was already a campsite, to which I was linked both for professional reasons, when I was involved in tour operating, and for emotional reasons because I have always loved this place.”
Mobile homes, safari tents and pitches for caravans and campers
This is the ninth property of the Italian-Dutch group, which has its operational headquarters in Manerba del Garda. In a resort area of some six hectares there will be state-of-the-art mobile homes, safari tents, accommodation and pitches for campers and caravans, with direct access to the lake, a beach and jetty, and a total capacity for about one thousand guests.
Two units for limited-mobility guests
Numerous services are also available from a new restaurant-pizzeria, a bar and an ice-cream parlour. There will also be a water park, multi-language edutainment activities, an electric mini-jeep service to help children discover the surrounding nature, as well as a bicycle hire service, a multi-purpose synthetic ground, a five-a-side football pitch and a volleyball court both on grass. Thanks to the orographic conformation of the site, two barrier-free accommodation units have also been set up for guests with limited mobility.
