The new Angelo D'Arrigo VIP Lounge has opened its doors at Catania airport, with over 400 square metres of floor space and 200 seats.
Daily passes are on sale
This opening gives travellers access to modern, functional spaces, relaxation areas, work zones with high- speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated buffet. Access is reserved for premium cardholders and those with active agreements, but daily passes can also be purchased directly at the lounge.
Improving passenger experiences at the airport
This is a strategic move, said Nico Torrisi, CEO of SAC, the company that manages the airport: “With the new lounge, we are taking another step towards strengthening the airport's facilities. We are focusing on infrastructure that will significantly improve the passenger experience and make the airport increasingly competitive and attractive. This new space has been designed to meet the needs of users who are increasingly attentive to comfort, efficiency and quality of service. It is a clear sign of our vision for growth and continuous modernization.”
12 million passengers in 2024
The opening of the VIP Lounge is part of SAC’s broader development plan, which aims to raise the quality of services and respond more effectively to the needs of growing passenger traffic, which exceeded 12 million in 2024, confirming the strategic role of Catania airport for Sicily.
