easyJet is making a significant investment in Naples by deploying an eighth Airbus A320 aircraft to bolster its summer flight network.
Summer seats will be a 9% increase over 2023
This move will result in an additional 160 thousand seats being offered next summer, reaching a total capacity of nearly 3 million seats, which will be a 9% increase compared to summer 2023. Commencing in early June, three new international routes will be introduced: Nantes and the Greek islands of Zakynthos and Preveza. This expansion at Naples will bring easyJet's network to a total of 47 destinations, of which 7 domestic and 40 international routes.
Increased easyJet summer frequencies from Naples
The addition of the new aircraft will enable easyJet to increase frequencies on popular routes for Neapolitan passengers, including the Greek islands of Santorini and Kos, as well as Spanish destinations like Minorca, Malta, or Sharm El Sheikh. Frequencies are also being boosted on domestic routes to Olbia and Catania, along with connections to European cities such as Athens, Barcelona, London Gatwick, Manchester, and Nice.
Aircraft with fewer emissions and a lower noise impact
“Naples has always played a key role in our strategy in Italy,” said Italia country manager Lorenzo Lagorio who went on to highlight that the easyJet fleet's growth at Naples to eight A320 aircraft includes two Airbus A320neos, which boast environmental benefits with fewer emissions and a noise impact over 50% lower during take-off and landing.
