Genoa Airport will open for the 2025 summer season with many international connections.
A 16% increase in summer flights from last year
The total capacity of Genoa’s Colombo city airport this summer will be over 1,240,000 seats, an increase of about 170,000 seats (+16%) compared to the 2024 summer season. Starting 1 May, there will be flights from and to Warsaw operated by Wizz Air, with three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) connecting Genoa airport to Poland for the first time. On Tuesday 17 June it will be the turn of the new flights from Krakow, also operated by the Hungarian low-cost carrier with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Flights by Wizz Air, Volotea and Vueling
Flights from Budapest (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) have also been confirmed, starting in the 2024/2025 winter season and also operated by Wizz Air. From April to June, and September to October, flights from Paris Orly operated by Volotea will double from two to four flights a week, while from mid-May there will be five weekly flights from Barcelona operated by Vueling. These will increase to six in July and become daily throughout August and the first week of September.
Ryanair, SAS, Volotea and ITA also return for summer
Also returning for the summer season are the seasonal connections from Manchester, Bucharest and Brindisi operated by Ryanair, the flight from Copenhagen by SAS Scandinavian Airlines and the summer flight by ITA Airways from Olbia which joins the Volotea flight.
Charter flights for cruise passengers will resume
Two daily flights from Amsterdam, with KLM, and Munich (Air Dolomiti - Lufthansa) are also confirmed. This summer charter flights for cruise passengers will resume, three years after the last service. Overall, there will be about 200 return flights connecting Genoa’s Colombo city airport to the main German cities, for a total of over 30,000 passengers.
