Double new entry in Rome for the Bzar Hotel&Co group, which adds two hotels to its pipeline in the Eternal City in just over a month.

Renovating two historic Roman properties

The Bzar Hotel&Co group recently acquired a historic building located at Via delle Coppelle 16, a few steps from Rome’s Piazza Navona, formerly known as the Hotel Varese. It also took over the management of the 24-room 3-star Fori Imperiali Cavalieri, located in Via Frangipane. In the first case, according to the group's ceo and co-founder Filippo Ribacchi, the plans are to transform the property into a 4-star boutique hotel with 24 rooms, a rooftop bar and a restaurant.

The new Fori Imperiali Cavalieri will have 27 rooms

The second property, the Fori Imperiali Cavalieri, is already being renovated with the aim of repositioning the hotel in the luxury segment as well as expanding its offer to 27 rooms. A lobby, a breakfast room and a rooftop will complete the offer.

A fast-growing hotel group

The Bzar Hotel&Co group operates a portfolio of 15 properties, all located in Rome with the sole exception of the 66-room 3-star 43Station Hotel in Milan. The company's pipeline also includes a further four properties: one in Milan, the Cortina Hotel and the Prassede Palace in Rome, as well as the Belvedere in Ostia. The group is also active in the F&B sector with two restaurants and two rooftop bars.

Norwegian is investing in the Italian market and introducing new Milan Bergamo and Bari routes in 2024.

Milan Bergamo and Bari are the new spearhead

The Copenhagen-Milan Bergamo route will commence operations at Orobic airport on 31 March, 2024, with four weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday). Then, starting from 18 May flights will connect Stavanger in south-western Norway to Bergamo on Wednesdays and Saturdays, up to 30 September, 2024. Furthermore, from 2 June, the capital of Finland, Helsinki, will also be linked to Bergamo, with three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday). These new additions complement the resumption of flights from Tromso on January 16 and those from Oslo and Bergen starting on 28 March, 2024.

“Norway is a rapidly expanding market”

“The announcement of Norwegian Air Shuttle's new routes boosts the airline's presence at Milan Bergamo airport and confirms the growing interest in the routes that connect northern Europe and, in particular, Norway, which is a rapidly expanding market,” said Emilio Bellingardi, general manager of Sacbo, and Giacomo Cattaneo, aviation commercial director.

Three Scandinavian countries linked to Bari

Norwegian, in a noteworthy development for Bari, just one year after its debut in Puglia with the connection from Oslo, is relaunching with two new routes from Stockholm and Copenhagen. These mean that three Scandinavian countries will be directly connected to the Apulian capital by the carrier. From 4 May to mid-November, the weekly flight between Bari and Stockholm will be operational on Saturdays, and from 22 June, the bi-weekly flight from Copenhagen (Wednesday and Saturday) will be added. The Oslo route will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Boosting inbound and outbound traffic

“With these new routes, we are ready to see an increase in demand towards Norwegian destinations in the next summer season. We look forward to welcoming customers on board our aircraft and having them travel to beautiful Bergamo, as well as transporting Italian passengers to Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Stavanger,- said Magnus Thome Maursund, CCO of Norwegian. -Likewise, we aim to encourage both incoming by having Apulians fly to Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo, and outgoing to Bari and Puglia.”

The San Domenico Palace reopened two years ago as a Four Seasons hotel, and I can honestly say it has been an incredible adventure. All this would not have been possible without the contribution of the owners and the Statuto Group. This award is the culmination of a lot of passion, commitment and hard work by the whole team, but it is only the beginning. Now we are even more motivated to continue raising the bar.”
