HBH Hospitality will operate the new SACBO-owned Hilton Garden Inn Bergamo Airport due to open in 2026.
Bergamo’s airport hotel will have 180 rooms
The property, to be built by Gencantieri, will have 180 rooms, a lobby open to the public 24 hours a day, as well as a restaurant and a bar. The management company of the Lombardy airport has signed a long-term lease agreement with the Mestre company. The construction of the hotel is part of a SACBO 2023-2027 investment plan for over €200 million that aims at upgrading and adapting airport infrastructure. The budget for the hotel and the development of the adjoining areas is approximately €30 million.
A rail link is also planned
“The hotel will provide a range of services, from an airport information desk to baggage storage, as well as connections to and from the air terminal with a dedicated shuttle bus,- said SACBO's president, Giovanni Sanga. -Having the hotel in the airport services area is part of an accessibility and interchange strategy for the development of multimodality which will be completed with the construction of the rail link.” “We are excited about this new facility which not only consolidates our offer in Northern Italy with another important destination, but also expands our portfolio to the important segment of airport hotels,- added HNH Hospitality CEO Luca Boccato.
