Under the new management of Fedegroup
The property is under the new management of Fedegroup, a company specializing in food and beverage services for the hotel industry and hotel management, part of the Industry 4.0 Fund, a vehicle of the Quadrivio Group. Located in Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, the Hotel Terme & Spa San Michele enjoys a privileged position on the island, its typical Mediterranean architecture combining the beauty of nature with the effectiveness of thermal waters.
Indoor and outdoor thermal pools
There are 42 rooms and suites with panoramic views overlooking the sea or set in greenery. Thanks to the Acquamarina Wellness Centre and indoor and outdoor thermal pools, the hotel offers a unique spa experience, fed by a private thermal spring. The two thermal pools, one indoor and one outdoor, with water flowing at 50°C and maintained at an ideal temperature of 37°C, promote muscle relaxation, improve blood circulation and promote general well-being. Mud therapy and massage therapy, inhalation treatments and osteopathy complete the range of treatments.
Set in a beautiful park
The hotel's extensive park overlooks the sea and offers an immersive experience in Mediterranean nature. Centuries-old olive trees, majestic palm trees, colourful bougainvillea and fragrant oleanders create an authentic and relaxing atmosphere, while there is breakfast with a sea view served at the Le Anfore restaurant, room service and a pool bar.
Fedegroup also owns hotels in Romagna and Venice
Fedegroup, already owner of Ròseo Euroterme Wellness Resort in Bagno di Romagna and Villa Barbarich in Venice Mestre, boosts its hospitality line with the addition of Hotel Terme San Michele to its portfolio, managing all aspects of the hotel facilities and combining its experience in food & beverage with its managerial expertise in the hospitality sector.
“There is an increasing preference for southern Italy”
“Fedegroup returns to one of the most sought-after and romantic tourist destinations in Italy, the island of Ischia to which we are very attached and in which we want to invest. There is growing interest in travel dedicated to personal well-being with an increasing preference for southern Italy, the ideal destination for the Italian summer,- says Mirko Sanna, CEO of Fedegroup. -We are delighted to have acquired this gem and to be able to bring it back into operation. All the services at the Hotel Terme & Spa San Michele are tailor-made, taking into account the strengths and unique characteristics of the area and highlighting the intrinsic features of the destination, the Bay of Sant'Angelo, which is unique for its beauty and nature."
The Italian portfolio of Phi Hotels, a brand of the Xenia Hôtellerie Solution group, expands with the addition of the 4-star Hotel Palio in Asti.
Phi hotels has 12 properties in Italy
The acquisition brings the number of properties in Italy to 12 as the company acquires from the Mogliotti family the business unit and the related conditional lease contracts under the rent-to-buy formula. This entails the right to purchase the properties to be exercised within the first nine years for a total value of approximately €2.4 million.
The hotel will become the Phi Hotel Palio
The group is already present in Piedmont with three 4-star properties in some of the most attractive areas such as the Langhe-Roero area, Cuneo and Bra, and also in Druento, a few kilometres from Turin. The Hotel Palio in Asti, in addition to the 37 rooms available today, also includes 9 parking spaces as well as a restaurant open to the public. From 5 June next, the hotel will be called Phi Hotel Palio.
The company is investing heavily in Asti
The transaction is subject to conditions, and the closing is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Pending the completion of the purchase of the business unit, it envisages the stipulation of a lease agreement for the same business unit. The relevant funding for the bridging lease period and for the purchase of the business unit is already in the company's hands.
“Strengthening our presence in the Langhe-Roero”
“Integrating a 4-star hotel in the city centre of a destination like Asti is a further step in the realization of our project illustrated in the 2025-2028 Business Plan,- says Ercolino Ranieri, CEO of Xenia. -The hotel will allow us to strengthen our presence in the spectacular area of the Langhe-Roero, one of the UNESCO sites in Piedmont, where we are already present with other properties and where we also aim to grow further.”

The hotel has just celebrated its 25th anniversary
The restyling project was entrusted to Studio Lorenzo Bellini Atelier, with the idea of making travel, even during breaks, a meaningful moment. The Hilton Rome Airport, which has just celebrated its 25th anniversary, is the only hotel directly connected to Leonardo da Vinci Airport. With its unmistakable architectural style, featuring modern artworks such as Arnaldo Pomodoro's famous sphere at the entrance and Jean Michel Folon's fountain statue “La Pluie” outside, the Hilton Rome Airport has a total of 517 rooms, a restaurant and bar. There is also a fitness room and an indoor swimming pool, 22 meeting and events rooms, ample parking and a pedestrian link to the airport.
The sea and the sky are dominant elements
The hotel is set in a landscape steeped in history, in an area with a strong historical and logistical identity, where the Tiber meets the sea, and was an important crossroads in ancient times. This concept gave rise to the project, with the dualism of the sea and the sky as dominant elements, both in symbolic and aesthetic terms, because connections by land and sea have characterized this area since ancient times.
Fresh, deep shades of blue, in many hues
The colour board for materials and fabrics is directly inspired by the shades and textures of the sea and sky, natural elements that dominate and define the visual identity of the project. The fresh, deep shades of blue, in its many hues and veering towards teal, and shades of mustard, are accompanied by explicit references to the nautical world, such as the striped fabrics typical of Mediterranean fishing boats, which recall the upholstery of marine covers.
It feels like walking among the clouds
As guests move from room to room, the hotel corridors become part of the sensory landscape. The floor becomes a landscape, with the colours of the sea and its foam, suspending travellers in an imaginative dimension, as if they were walking among the clouds or on the edge of the water. The very location of the hotel within the airport area, to which it is connected by a covered walkway, reinforces the concept of the continuity of travel: arriving at the hotel is merely a stop on the journey, not a destination in itself.
Neos’ 787-9 Dreamliner has 355 seats
A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured with two classes of service (Premium and Economy) and a total of 355 seats will be used on the route, which will operate until 15 October with one frequency per week.
Four daily flights between New York and Italy
“The new direct flight from New York to Bari is a strategic connection that confirms the strong growth potential of the Apulian market,- says Carlo Stradiotti, managing director of the Alpitour group airline. -Our goal is to carry about 12,700 travellers in the first year of operation, helping to strengthen ties between Italy and the United States and promote the development of leisure and business flows between the two countries. After the success of last summer's flights between the United States and Sicily, this new route represents a further expansion of our international connections, serving another important region such as Puglia. Thanks to this flight, we will have a daily offer from New York to Italy with four frequencies from Milan, two from Palermo and now also one from Bari.”
“Puglia is an extraordinarily attractive destination”
"The flight to New York Vasile is the emblem of the extraordinary work that has allowed the Apulian airport network to become a reference in the Mediterranean basin,- said the president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria. -It is also the symbol of the passion with which the women and men of Aeroporti di Puglia operate, aware of how their commitment is fundamental to enable the growth, both economic and social, of our beloved Puglia. Thanks to this connection, our region is firmly projected onto a market with very high growth potential, boosting the ambitions of growth of incoming flows from an area that sees Puglia as an extraordinarily attractive destination for the beauty of its landscapes, the history of millenary civilisations and the excellence of its food and wine.”
Also nonstop Toronto-Malpensa flights
Neos is therefore expanding its network from and to North America where it has been present since 2021 on the New York-Milan Malpensa route, now served four times a week and, from April 2023, with a non-stop flight to Malpensa from Toronto. In addition, since last year the airline has introduced a direct high-performing New York-Palermo service with two weekly frequencies, operating from 6 June until October.
The return last June of Madrid-Venice flights
This is a special anniversary that the airline celebrated recently in Rome in an equally special location, Harry's Bar on Via Veneto. It was an opportunity to highlight results and short-term forecasts with Renato Scaffidi, Air Europa's country manager in Italy, and Bernardo Botella, sales director of the Spanish carrier. The latter highlighted the good performance recorded since the start of the three routes operated in Italy, also recalling the return last June of the Madrid-Venice route, which was suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic.
“Italian passengers have access to over 35 destinations”
The positive trend is set to continue in 2025, when the airline expects to carry over 700,000 passengers on routes to and from Rome, Milan and Venice, an increase of 11% compared to the previous year. This year, the airline will operate 4,500 flights with over 811,000 seats available, with an average occupancy rate of over 85%. Through the Madrid-Barajas hub, Italian passengers “have access to over 20 destinations in America and more than 15 in Spain,- Botella pointed out. -Last year, more than 384,000 passengers travelled via Madrid in transit to or from one of the three Italian cities, representing 61% of passenger traffic. The most popular long-haul destinations for passengers flying from Italy to America, and vice versa, are Lima, Santo Domingo, São Paulo, Miami and Havana."
Operating 45 weekly flights during the high season
The carrier operates 42 weekly flights (increasing to 45 during the high season) from Rome, Milan and Venice with a fleet of Boeing 737s, which will be expanded in the coming days with the arrival of a new Boeing 737-8. This will be followed by three more aircraft during the current year and another 10 in 2026, bringing the total to 20.
