There are 1,600 authentic farmsteads promoted by Gallo Rosso in Italy’s South Tyrol region.
Farms specialized in various fields
Offering guests the opportunity to discover the South Tyrolean farming world at first hand through unique experiences promoted by the host farmers themselves, these farmsteads are of different types. Some work with livestock, others with fruitgrowing and winegrowing for an active or wellness holiday to suit everyone's needs.

Beekeeping, pickling and jam making
At the foot of the Stelvio National Park in the Venosta Valley, the Hof am Schloss farm offers weekly guided tours. In the warmer months, guests can get up close to the beekeeper's craft, while in winter the farmers organise excursions to observe wild animals in their snowy habitat. Guests can also get involved with the processing of certain products, learning how to make jam, pickles and pickles.
Oberpiskoi
Yoga, fasting and fitness
In Voppichlohof, a town in the Ahrntal Valley farmer Reinhilde offers guests, especially children, afternoon activities dedicated to DIY using natural materials such as hay, herbs, flour and flowers. Those seeking a holiday opportunity to regenerate and purify themselves will find the Oberpiskoi in Funes another interesting choice. Thanks to the hostess Anna and her daughter, certified leaders in the practice of fasting, the farm offers tailor-made programmes combined with yoga and fitness sessions and hikes in unspoilt nature.
Flachenhof
Horse and pony therapy for kids
The Flachenhof in Renon is a farmstead that breeds horses and offers lessons and horseback riding excursions all year round. The farm embraces the “Team Pony Concept,” a kind of therapy for children from 2 to 9 years of age that shows how dealing with horses and ponies can have great benefits on a sensory and bodily level, as well as in the development of personal and social skills.
Food, catering and handicrafts
The classification of farms offering accommodation in South Tyrol is organised from 1 to 5 flowers: the higher the number of flowers, the higher the criteria met by the facility. Also supported by the association are more than 100 farms that are dedicated to farmhouse catering, the Farms with Taste, authentic handicrafts, the Farmers' Handicrafts, and the production of genuine gastronomic products, the Farmhouse Flavours.
