The Padovaland water park, a stone’s throw from the centre of Padua in Veneto, has introduced new enhancements and services.
Dozens of new palm trees
Following the recent acquisition of 162,000 sqm of land, the makeover, says owner Johnny Pozzi, "has given us the stability to be bold. After the Spray Park, this year we wanted to focus on the quality of the environment and visual appeal, So dozens of new Caribbean palm trees not only provide natural, cool shade on the hottest days, but also transport visitors to a completely different ecosystem.”
The Jungle Beach Spray Park has white sand
The exotic makeover gives the park the feel of a Caribbean island, framing the state-of-the-art Jungle Beach Spray Park, which was successfully opened last year. The attraction, situated on a large oasis of white sand, is the main recreational highlight of Padovaland and is entirely dedicated to families and young children thanks to its water games, fountains, tipping buckets and scenery reminiscent of the African savannah.
Safety lockers on the parasols
Services ensuring safety and technological innovation have also been enhanced, alongside water sustainability and environmental friendliness. Parasols can now be booked on the App, through which visitors can also specify their arrival times. From this season onwards, parasols are fitted with built-in safety lockers to ensure visitors do not have to leave their valuables unattended, and there is a dog area for four-legged friends.
Padua is called the Painted City
Padua’s historic centre is packed with historic cafés, markets and green areas. The Urbs Picta, or Painted City, is the name by which Padua is known for its extraordinary 14th-century frescos which were recognized by UNESCO in 2021, while the Botanical Garden is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
