Liguria’s goal is to build on 2022’s record year and promote the region around the world.

“The challenge is to keep it going, to do even better”

“We are focusing on the important Oceanrace event to promote Liguria around the world, - says Augusto Sartori, Councillor for Tourism of the Region. - The North American market has not yet recovered, and this event will be important. 2022 was a record year, now the challenge is to keep it going, to do even better.”

“We have major attractions like the Boat Show”

“After an amazing 2022, we expect a 2023 that is equally successful, - adds the president of Liguria Giovanni Toti, - 2022 brought more arrivals than 2019, the pre-covid year. We have major attractions such as the Boat Show, our ports which are being restructured to offer ever better services and the Sanremo music festival, all of which help to draw record numbers.”

Promoting seaside, outdoor and art tourism

Liguria’s promotional campaigns have been hitting the mark, focusing on seaside tourism, outdoor activities in the hinterland, but also art like the Rubens exhibition which attracted over 74,000 visitors.
