Total air traffic forecast for this summer will exceed 2024 levels by 5% and has already surpassed pre-Covid levels, and with passengers possibly facing disruptions beyond the airlines' control this summer, from insufficient air traffic control capacity in some parts of Europe to expected adverse weather conditions across the continent, this powerful new feature on the official Wizz app, is designed to revolutionize the way passengers can monitor and manage their flights directly from their mobile devices..
Assistance and benefits directly on mobile phones
“My Journey” gives passengers full control during their journey and in case of unforeseen events, providing assistance and benefits directly on their phone. In addition to receiving updates through various channels (calls, SMS, email), travellers can now consult all information in one place, conveniently on their smartphone: with real time flight status monitoring at every stage, from check-in to boarding time and the gate number, as well as a range of other benefits making for faster decisions, less uncertainty and greater peace of mind when travelling.

The new app is being phased in from 8 July
With over 35 million downloads of the Wizz Air app on Apple, Google and Huawei platforms, the update promises to significantly improve the passenger experience. Those who have already downloaded the app and logged in will receive updates in their preferred language. “My Journey ” will be phased in from 8 July and aims to improve the airport experience, accompany the passenger throughout their journey and offer support to both frequent travellers and those flying with Wizz Air for the first time.
