Favignana's Cala La Luna has new management. The 4-star hotel will join Essence Hotels.
Aiming to reposition and provide high-performance services
Thanks to an agreement between the property's owner, the Bulgarella Group, and the Pesaro company Omega Hospitality, which will take over the management, the contract will be for nine years plus nine, and will include an ad hoc development plan for the resort.
“We are pleased with this collaboration,” says Ray Lo Faso, Bulgarella group general manager. “The development project prepared by the Omega Hospitality company for the hotel, which is one of our group's most valuable assets, was critical to the agreement's success. The aim is to be repositioned on the market and to guarantee high-performance services to the ever-growing needs of international customers.”
Ideal for families, couples, and small groups
The Cala La Luna village is for families, couples, and small groups and is located among the white quarries of Favignana. The resort, designed in a Mediterranean style with white and turquoise tones, has 75 housing units divided into standard and deluxe rooms as well as studio, two-room, and three-room apartments. There is also a restaurant, a bar and lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, relaxation areas, a Mediterranean garden, entertainment, and the option of excursions and water activities such as diving or sailing.
“We are aiming to reopen the resort as early as next Easter”
“The agreement stems from a broad convergence of visions regarding the development of the Favignana resort between our company and president Andrea Bulgarella,” “We intend relaunching entertainment which, in addition to the classic animation for adults and children, will see a succession of events with international guests and artists,” says Antonio Cafarelli, president of Omega Hospitality. Among the short-term goals are raising the hotel’s quality standards and renewing the catering by combining traditional Mediterranean cuisine with innovation and contemporaneity. “We are aiming open the resort as early as next Easter, with a re-opening event in the first days of April.”
Specialized in accommodation management
The Bulgarella group currently owns 30 hotels with a total of 2,450 rooms an hasd an asset value of around €350 million. Omega Hospitality has been active in tourism for over 30 years, specializing in accommodation management, integrated tourism services, incoming services, entertainment, and hotel outsourcing. In 2022, it began managing three hotels in Italian seaside destinations, including Sardinia, the island of Elba, and now Favignana, under the Essence Hotels brand.
