The historic Promessi Sposi in Malgrate, on Lake Como's eastern shore, has reopened its doors.
The restyled property is now a 4-star
The hotel, repositioned to 4-star luxury status, reopened following a significant restyling costing more than €2 million only for the interiors and furnishings. The operation was carried out by the entrepreneurial couple Fabio Dadati and Sabrina Frigerio.
Superior rooms and suites with lake views
The Promessi Sposi is a historic hotel in Malgrate that dates back to the second half of the nineteenth century: the oldest hotel on Lake Como's eastern branch now has 69 rooms, including superior rooms and suites with lake views, balconies, or terraces. The interiors have been designed to maximize space. The People cocktail bar & café has a convivial atmosphere thanks also to mixologist Terry Monroe's strategic and operational consulting. The Comfort Zone wellness area on 200 sqms has a 100 sqm grass terrace and a 32 sqm Technogym gym.
The Lisander Restaurant can seat 30
The new Promessi Sposi caters to the needs of business travellers with a meeting room that can accommodate up to 60 people. The Lisander Restaurant can seat 30 and the gourmet cuisine is under the supervision of executive chef Angelo Biscotti. Dejana Scisciani, winner of the European grand prix and pastry championship, is in charge of the pastry department. In the summer months the roof top, with the welcoming People lounge, is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the views over the lake and the surrounding landscape. In the same area Fabio Dadati and Sabrina Frigerio acquired and opened the Tree House in 2013 and the Da Giovannino restaurant in 2017.
