The 2025 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Verona
Verona will be the protagonist of the next Winter Olympic Games, with the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics scheduled for 22 February 2026, and the opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympics both in the famous Arena of Verona.
A free experiential offer, valid to December
The Destination Verona & Garda Foundation has launched “Towards the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics, using sport and wellness as a lever of attractiveness for Verona and its area brands, co-financed with resources from the 2025 National Tourism Fund and promoted by the Veneto Region. This a free experiential offer, valid from October to December 2025, consists of a minimum of ten weekends of sports, wellness and outdoor themed experiences, completely free of charge for Italians and international tourists staying in Verona. experiences range from cycle-tourism to trekking, from slow movement practices in the open air to sensory immersions, alongside food and wine tastings in vineyards.

Each weekend will combine physical activities with the authentic discovery of the Verona area. The President of Destination Verona Garda, Paolo Artelio, explained: ‘With this initiative we want to make Verona and its area brands a living stage of the Olympic spirit, where sport, wellness, and sustainability become instruments of discovery and connection with the destination. The free weekends are an invitation to enjoy authentic, accessible and inclusive experiences that enhance our identity and project it at an international level in view of the 2026 Games.”

“Bookings will be directly through the Destination Management System for this, our first experiment of what will become the marketing model of a product for Verona and its area brands.” The experiential offer covers Verona and its four area brands: Lessinia, Soave Est-Veronese, Pianura dei Dogi and Valpolicella. Bookings must be made on the Visit Verona Garda - My Special Needs platform by selecting “Ignite the Olympic spirit,” which contains all the free weekend experiences.
