Air Transat has defined the summer 2022 timetable that will see it return to Italy in April with up to 13 direct flights to Canada. Globally, the Canadian airline (represented in Italy by Rephouse Gsa) will operate over 250 weekly flights to 44 destinations. Operations on the Italian market will be on Rome Fiumicino (5 flights to Toronto and 4 flights to Montreal from April 2022), Venice’s Marco Polo Airport (1 flight to Toronto and 2 flights to Montreal from May 2022) and Lamezia Terme (1 flight to Toronto from June 2022).
The European network
From Toronto, in addition to the 14 weekly London flights, travelers will be able to fly to total of 13 destinations in Europe: Italy, France, Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. From Montreal Air Transat will operate 7 flights to London Gatwick and 14 flights to Paris. A total of 19 European destinations will be available with direct flights to and from Canada, snd the airline has also strengthened its position as an international carrier by operating direct flights from Québec City Jean Lasage Airport to London and Paris.
Fleet and services
Over the next few months Air Transat will be operating on Canada, the United States, Europe and the South with their next-generation fleet of Airbus A321neolrs. In 2021 the airline was awarded the Best Vacation Travel Airline in the World 2021 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, for the fourth consecutive time.
