At the start of the 2025 summer season Salerno-Costa d’Amalfi Airport will get British Airways and SAS flights for its first full season, after the ribbon cutting in July 2024.
Boosting arrivals from the UK market
This year the number of airlines (and routes served) has several new additions, starting with British Airways which, from 22 May, will connect Salerno and London Gatwick with three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The route will be operated by AirbusA320 and A321 aircraft belonging to BA subsidiary Euroflyer. The second new arrival is also from the UK: from 26th May Jet2.com will make its debut at the coastal airport, connecting Salerno with Manchester and Birmingham until the end of September. Both connections to the two British cities will be operated by Boeing 737, with one flight per week.
Vueling will operate from 20 June to 24 October
From 20 June until 24 October Vueling’s Salerno-Paris route will be operational, with three flights weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition, from 3 July to 25 October, the Spanish company belonging to the IAG group will fly to Salerno from Barcelona, with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
A growing roster of airlines
On the same day, 3 July, SAS Scandinavian Airlines will also make its debut in Salerno until 7 August with a weekly Oslo flight. After British Airways, SAS will be the second legacy carrier to serve the Amalfi Coast airport. Other airlines that will fly to Salerno are: easyJet (to and from Basel, Berlin, Geneva, London–Gatwick and Milan–Malpensa), Ryanair (Brussels, London-Stansted, Milan-Bergamo, Turin and Vienna), Wizz Air (Tirana, Sofia, Katowice, Bucharest and Budapest) and Volotea to and from Catania, Verona, Marseille and Nantes.
