The expansion of big brands in Italy continues and, according to some sources a Tribute (Marriott) on the Pietrarsa waterfront, and a Mama Shelter (Accor) in Como are in the pipeline.
700 Tribute are rooms in the pipeline for 2023-2025
In Campania the project is a hotel complex which is now under construction, involving part of the old Villa Monaco. Already the restaurant, the Casa Colonica, and a bar, Le Cabine, are operational. According to budget sources the total investment will be some €21.9 million. Once completed the complex should join the Tribute portfolio. The brand landed in Italy in 2020 with the Regency Rome, a 4-star with 40 rooms, and in the three-year period 2023-25 a further six Tribute hotels are in the pipeline in Italy for a total of over 700 rooms.
A new Man Shelter for Como?
It would also seem that a new Mama Shelter is being developed in Como. At the moment however, the size of the property, the exact location and the presumed opening date are unknown. The first hotel of this Accor lifestyle brand in Italy was the Mama Shelter Roma which opened in July 2021.
