More holidaymakers are leaving their pets at home
According to the 37th Eurispes Italy Report, 40.5% of Italians say they have a pet, an increase of 3.2% compared to 2024. However, challenges persist in organizing pet-friendly holidays often due to the scarcity of accommodation facilities that accept animals. As confirmed by data from the TCI Holiday Observatory, of the 26% of respondents who own a pet, only 31% decided to take it with them on holiday, while the majority (69%) left it at home.
Pitchup.com has suggestions for holidays with pets
Pitchup.con the leading platform for booking outdoor holidays, has introduced a new feature. Designed specifically for travellers with pets it is now possible to specify not only the number of adults and children, but also the number of dogs, making planning even simpler and more straightforward. “This is proof of our long-term strategy here”
“Venice is a pillar of our growth strategy in Italy, and we are proud to strengthen our commitment in the North-East region, - said Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, corporate communications manager of the low-cost carrier. -The addition of a third A321neo aircraft to our base is proof of our long-term strategy here. It allows us not only to launch seven new routes, bringing our total to 18, but also to offer passengers in this dynamic region more direct and convenient connections to a wide range of destinations in Europe and beyond.”
A positive impact on the territory
“This investment confirms the potential of the local catchment area, and the airport's strategic role in the development of international connections,- said Camillo Bozzolo, aviation development director of the Save Group. -The new destinations, which will be added to the already consolidated offer of Wizz Air routes to and from Venice, will offer more opportunities to passengers and have a positive impact on the territory.”
