Montagne del Sole: the Bicycle Adventure Meeting,” the iconic European gathering of cycling enthusiasts, which will take place on the Ciclovia dei Parchi cycle path for an authentic, adventurous and festive cycling experience, with meetings, storytelling, music and good food. In June the “CFF - Calabria Food Fest” will be a vast celebration spanning both sea and land, a journey through the authentic flavours of local traditions. Visitors and residents alike will try their hand at preparing local delicacies, from homemade ice cream to bread and maju which is a type of gnocchi, and from ancient confectionery recipes to dishes made with DOP products. Arts and crafts will feature with charcoal burning and evocative dinners in traditional catojo stone houses, the festival will also offer tastings, nights of dancing and a synergy with hotel schools and local communities for an experience of profound authenticity.
Artistic events for all ages
In September it will be the turn of “Riciclart - Artistic Retreat,” a regenerative artistic residency dedicated to creativity and sustainability. With workshops open to the public, participants will be able to experiment using recycled materials and breathing new life into objects and communities. This will be a unique opportunity to experience historic villages alongside artists, as well as taking part in workshops on sustainability and social events designed for children and families.
