Egnazia Ospitalità Italiana, the new venture of the Melpignano family of the San Domenico Group, will oversee the management of the newly renovated Ancora Hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Creating 38 rooms including 12 suites
The Ancora Hotel is currently undergoing a restyling with the creation of 38 rooms, including 12 suites. Additionally there will be an exclusive club, a restaurant, a bar, and a historically significant terrace that overlooks the heart of Cortina. The renovation project, which commenced in July 2022, is expected to continue for the next two years.
Promoting and valuing Italian culture
Promoting and valuing Italian culture is a primary objective of Aldo Melpignano's group.
"Cortina d'Ampezzo is one of the most exclusive mountain destinations worldwide, - says Renzo Rosso, president of Red Circle which owns the bullding. - The Ancora is the oldest hotel in Cortina and the ongoing extensive restoration will respect its history sustainably while responding to the needs and expectations of the modern luxury traveller.”
“Travellers want to feel like temporary residents rather than mere tourists”
“Cortina d'Ampezzo is a destination that is currently undergoing, and will continue to experience, a significant transformation, facilitated by the upcoming Olympics, - said Aldo Melpignano. - Today, more than ever, travellers are seeking destinations and experiences that allow them to feel like temporary residents rather than mere tourists.”
