HNH Hospitality has been awarded the management of the 5-star Cavallerizza Reale, which will be a Radisson Collection.
A 130-room hotel due to open in 2028
The hotel will be the redevelopment of a portion of the Cavallerizza Reale in Turin, a historic building which is a UNESCO world heritage site and is the result of an agreement between the Mestre-based group and CDP Real Asset SGR, owners of the building. The complex's conversion, for a total investment of some €35 million, to be carried out by CDP will be to a 130-room hotel, scheduled to open in 2028 and branded Radisson Collection.
“Culture represents a formidable driving force for urban regeneration”
The design has been entrusted to the Genius Loci Architettura studio in Florence and fully respects the existing buildings and their historical context, and will be both sustainable and energy saving, while the interior design, by HNH, has been entrusted to the Marco Piva studio in Milan. “Turin once again demonstrates how culture represents a formidable driving force for urban regeneration,- says Giancarlo Scotti, real estate director of CDP and CEO of CDP Real Asset SGR. -The transformation of our portion of the Cavallerizza Reale into a hotel not only adds to the city's range of luxury hotels and boosts its role as a tourist destination, it also complements the entire redevelopment initiative for the complex that we are promoting with the municipality of Turin, the Compagnia di San Paolo foundation, the University of Turin and Polo delle Arti.”
Enhancing Turin as a tourist destination of excellence
“We are thrilled to be part of this prestigious project, which combines our experience in high-end hospitality with a historic building of inestimable cultural value such as the former Cavallerizza Reale,- adds HNH CEO Luca Boccato. - Managing the new facility under the Radisson Collection brand represents an important opportunity for us to consolidate our presence in the luxury segment and contribute to the enhancement of Turin as a tourist destination of excellence.”
