One of Rome’s finest Baroque masterpieces
Acquired by the Shedir Collection group and converted into a private residence, Palazzo Borghese is located just a few steps from the Spanish Steps and was the family home of the noble Borghese family. In the 17th century Prince Giovanni Battista Borghese commissioned the architect Carlo Rainaldi, who worked with the Bolognese stage designer Giovanni Francesco Grimaldi, to build it. Completed in May 1678, the palace is one of the finest examples of Roman Baroque architecture.
