Val Gardena, the quintessential Dolomite valley and UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, is a haven for hikers, climbers, and mountain bikers.

A colourful market
Among the valley’s historic and significant events, Segra Sacun stands out as the most important market. Following tradition, on 9 October Segra Sacun will fill the square of Ortisei with vibrant stalls selling typical gastronomic and craft products. This market is not just about commerce as it carries an ancient romantic tradition. During these festive days, bachelors have traditionally gifted their ladies with a pear adorned with a coloured bow. If the lady is interested, she will dye an egg in the following months, and the brave bachelor must collect it in person at Easter.Segra Sacun
