The Merano Flower Festival is back in South Tyrol from 24 to 27 April.
Plants and shrubs from all over Europe
Celebrating a variety of plants, flowers and shrubs from all over Europe, with the flavours of Slow Food and the ‘Red Rooster’ brand, the itinerary winds its way along the Passeggiata Lungo Passirio from 10.00 to 19.00 daily, and until 17.00 on Sunday.
Gastronomic events in the pavilions, from breakfast to aperitifs
The Le Petit Déjeuner des Fleurs breakfast is served from Friday to Sunday, from 9.00 to 12.00, with products from South Tyrolean farms and small producers in the valley, certified by Gallo Rosso. The price per person is €35.00 and reservations are necessary, with a minimum of two people and a maximum of four.

Cooking shows, aperitifs and wine tastings
The Fiori d'Amore (Love Flowers) is the theme of Slow Food South Tyrol, which this year is focused on the culture of good food and sustainable agricultural practices with cooking shows and tastings. From Thursday to Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be aperitifs with products from Slow Food producers and wines from Slow Wine, by reservation for two to four people and at a cost of €30.00 per person. Among the Slow Food events, ‘Le ricette svuotafrigo’ (Recipes to empty the fridge) with Angelo Carrillo and chef Tina Marcelli will feature on Sunday from 10.00 to 12.00.
A festival for young and old with workshops and guided tours
Among the workshops on the programme, visitors can try their hand at plant printing on paper, creating bookmarks or reproducing a garden in a pot. They will also have the chance to discover Merano at meetings, botanical walks and guided visits to the aromatic herb garden with master gardener Carlo Pagani. There will also be a treasure hunt for children.
