By Wednesday, 29 July 2026 10:19

The Veneto region will be transformed into a vast cultural itinerary for the Traveller’s Festival from 18 September to 11 October 2026.

Revolution is the theme of this year's festival

The theme chosen for this twelfth edition is "Revolution" and not only evokes the great changes of history but also invites us to view travel, culture, creativity and human relationships from new perspectives. The opening event will take place at the evocative Gypsotheca Antonio Canova Museum in Possagno and the following day, the Festival moves to Bassano del Grappa and Villa Angaran San Giuseppe. The morning begins with a walk along the River Brenta led by geographer Francesco Visentin and throughout the day there will be a series of meetings with leading figures from Italian culture with literature, journalism, manufacturing traditions and reflections on the role of women in contemporary society forming a mosaic of ideas.

A partnership with the San Francesco tourist village

The journey continues between Vicenza and Cassola, where memory, silence and dialogue between cultures take centre stage while the main new feature of the 2026 edition will take place in Caorle. For the first time, the Festival is coming to the Villaggio Turistico San Francesco thanks to a partnership with Federcampeggio, opening its activities to the world of itinerant tourism. Campervan travellers from all over Italy will take part in nature walks, tours of the historic centre and social gatherings, confirming how travel can become an opportunity for meeting others and sharing experiences.

Discovering historic residences

The final part of the Festival addresses themes linked to the future of tourism, contemporary art, education, the environment and business networks, involving academics, writers, journalists and professionals. From Riese Pio X to Asolo, and on to the extraordinary Villa di Maser and Villa Freya, each event showcases places of great charm, offering visitors the opportunity to discover historic residences that are normally difficult to access, through the stories told by leading figures in Italian culture.
