Air Canada announced yesterday that from January 2024, the start of the winter season, it will be the only airline connecting Canada to Rome year-round with flights from both Toronto and Montreal.
Toronto and Montreal flights also to Milan Malpensa and Venice
These routes complement Air Canada's current year-round services to Milan Malpensa from Montreal and Toronto, as well as its seasonal summer flights to Venice from Toronto and Montreal. "We are proud to consolidate our position as the airline offering the most direct flights between Canada and Italy, as well as being the preferred choice for business travel between the major economic hubs of both nations," said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada.
Air Canada will offer the most direct Canada-Italy flights
Flights between Canada and Italy will also increase in summer 2024, with the introduction of six additional weekly frequencies in total to Rome, Venice and Milan from Canada. Air Canada will, therefore, offer more direct flights between Canada and Italy than any other airline, with up to 35 weekly services for the summer of 2024. In total this will be a 30% increase in capacity compared to this year, and for Rome alone, the capacity increase will be 72% over the last five years.
