The Umbria International Airport has reached a new milestone: 50,000 passengers since the beginning of the year.
The airport also inaugurated two new departure gates
The San Francesco d'Assisi Airport in Perugia is pleased to announce that on Wednesday 22 November, the airport reached 500,000 passengers for the first time since the beginning of the year. The celebrations for the new historic milestone also included another important goal for the airport: the inauguration of two new boarding gates, thus expanding the capacity and convenience for travellers and increasing the total number of gates available at the terminal's departure area from four to six. 
“The airport will race towards one million passengers by 2025”
“This is an extraordinary achievement and is the result of a lot of work and a clear vision by the Regional Government. In 2024 Umbria Airport will carry out the extension works already financed by the Region, which will allow us to continue the race towards one million passengers by 2025 with a new industrial plan and new route investments," commented Donatella Tesei, President of the Umbria Region Antonello Marcucci, President of Umbria Airport added, "reaching 500,000 passengers is a further tangible sign of the airport's success and its growing importance for the region. We look forward to the future with enthusiasm, committing ourselves to continue to provide high quality services and to support the economic development of our region.”
