Puglia promotes itself at the airport with the Puglia Wall.

A large outdoor digital display

Puglia Wall is a large digital display that promotes regional municipalities at Bari Airport, the region’s main gateway for tourists arriving from abroad. The display on which visitors can admire Puglia’s landscapes, traditions and stories, will subsequently be extended to other airports in Puglia. The aim is to offer local councils an innovative tool to showcase their identity to an international audience, such as the thousands of passengers who pass through the airports every day.

Stories showcase the region

Installed outside Bari Airport, the Puglia Wall is one of the largest digital displays in Italy, a veritable window onto Puglia, designed to transform the wait for a flight or arrival at the airport into a discovery of the region. Stories showcase the charm of its historic centres, the richness of Puglia's cultural heritage, its landscapes, traditions and the distinctive features that make every corner of the region unique.

"A rich tapestry of history, culture, landscapes"

“Puglia is much more than just a tourist destination,- said Antonio Maria Vasile, President of Aeroporti di Puglia. -It is a rich tapestry of history, culture, landscapes and people that help make it one of the most beloved and recognizable regions in Italy. With the Puglia Wall, we want to offer all local councils the chance to play a leading role in a great collective narrative that promotes our region and sparks travellers’ curiosity and desire to discover areas that are still relatively unknown. Through this initiative, AdP renews its commitment to supporting the growth and promotion of the region. The invitation to mayors, therefore, is not to miss out on this great opportunity and to respond in large numbers to this call, because together we can achieve better results.”

"A tool for enhancing and promoting a region"

Raffaele Piemontese, regional councillor for infrastructure and mobility added: “This is a concrete example of how infrastructure can become a tool for enhancing and promoting a region. Thanks to this project, airports become an extraordinary showcase for local identity, traditions and cultural heritage.”
