The Blu Hotels group's new entry is the Artnatur Dolomites which opened last May in the Alpe di Siusi in Italy’s South Tyrol province in the Alto Adige region.
An outdoor saltwater pool heated by solar energy
At an altitude of 1,000 metres the hotel has 42 rooms furnished with five different types of South Tyrolean wood which, carefully combined according to their healing properties, create a harmonious atmosphere of wellbeing. Wellness is also guaranteed by a heated indoor pool and an integrated whirlpool. A large panoramic glass façade brings nature into the spa. The outdoor saltwater pool, particularly suitable for allergy sufferers, is heated with solar energy and offers guests refreshing baths during the summer season.
Promoting the use of refillable water bottles
From energy saving and responsible water management to the use of environmentally friendly materials, the hotel also stands out for its green commitment, offering guests a holiday in contact with nature, which, thanks to the healing properties of its elements, is the basis for all wellness treatments. The hotel is one of the first to have obtained the EU Ecolabel logo underscoring the care and protection of nature and the territory it implements to guarantee an increasingly reduced environmental impact. On the question of water management the hotel invites its guests to use water sensibly, promoting refillable water bottles and offering water in jugs in the restaurant and in the rooms, with water sourced from over 2,000 regularly controlled sources.
