Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 19 new affiliates in the first six months of the year. Among them is the Sicilian Grand Hotel San Pietro, a 19th-century villa in Taormina that has been meticulously restored and transformed into a luxury hotel on the site of an ancient Roman road. Guests have access to 63 rooms, some of which are pet-friendly, with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea.
A spa and designer shopping trips
The property also has an outdoor swimming pool, gardens, an outdoor restaurant with a large terrace, and the Rotonda sul Mare: an intimate terrace serving dinner for two directly above the small Isola Bella. The spa has a Finnish sauna and steam room and the hotel organizes select itineraries, including private boat excursions. A free shuttle to Taormina's centre is also available for designer shopping, restaurants, and cultural experiences.
New additions in Venice and Rome
Other newcomers to the group are the Venetian Savoia e Jolanda and the Umiltà 36 in Rome, as well as the Maltese Iniala Harbor House & Residences in Valletta, the Portuguese Pestana Douro, Riverside Hotel & Conference Center in Porto, and the French Hotel Golf Chateau de Chailly in Chailly-sur-Armançon, and other properties in North American and the Caribbean.
