The Grand Hotel della Posta has reopened under new management. After a year of closure the historic hotel in Sondrio, in the Valtellina region, has reopened under Ppn Hospitality, a rapidly expanding company that already manages Falisia, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Portopiccolo and has plans over the next two years for Marriott brand properties in Venice, Pompeii, Rome and Cortina. The goal is to reposition the Grand Hotel della Posta in line with Sondrio's relaunch for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games. The property has 38 rooms and suites and six meeting rooms, the largest of which can take up to 140 guests. 
We want to bring leisure and MICE tourism to the destination. We are truly honoured to operate in this wonderful context supporting Sondrio’s repositioning as a leisure and business destination - said Ppn Hospitality’s CEO Filippo Cavandoli -. The area has wonderful Nebbiolo vineyard terraces, breathtaking landscapes, hiking and trekking and in view of the Olympic Games we will work in synergy with local players. Our aim is to bring both leisure and MICE tourism to the destination and focus on a higher quality of service with a particular emphasis on catering. The 1862 Ristorante della Posta will remain faithful to tradition, but we will be adding some eclectic notes to enhance the wonderful products of the land.
