The new Club Med resort will be in San Sicario, less than two hours from Turin, in the same Vialattea area of the Italian Alps as the Club Med Pragelato Resort, which hosted many events during the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics.
The resort, designed by architectural company Chiodin, will have a 180-degree views over the valley and 400 rooms, 25 of which will be suites. The investment is slated to be €110 million and construction will begin in 2022, with the opening planned for December 2024.Sports, entertainment and gastronomic experiences
The aim is to build a modern resort with all-inclusive amenities, and the new San Sicario resort will be open both in the summer and winter, providing a variety of sports, including skiing, Nordic walking, snow sports, and yoga, as well as entertainment and gastronomic experiences. Guests can also enjoy an indoor pool, a spa with a sauna and a hammam, as well as excursions to see the sights in the surrounding area. The resort will also be a perfect alternative for families due to the extensive range of amenities and activities planned for children, including kids’ clubs for children from the ages of 4 months to 17 years old.
60 ski instructors and 35 guides
In terms of economic impact on the region, the San Sicario project is planned to generate a €10 million annual income, 400 direct and indirect jobs, and will have 60 ski instructors daily throughout the season.
