HNH Hospitality’s Giardino di Costanza has opened in Mazara del Vallo. This elegant 5-star resort in the Mazara del Vallo countryside is not far from the sea, in a lush green Mediterranean park with palm trees and centuries-old olive trees, fountains and water features.
Modelled on an ancient Sicilian noble homestead
The Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort has been modelled on an ancient Sicilian noble homestead, and the name is a tribute to Constance of Altavilla, mother of Emperor Frederick II, a protagonist of the Arab-Norman era. Adjacent to the resort is Villa Fontanasalsa, built around 1850 which, after a meticulous renovation, will host events and receptions.
Artisanal salts will feature in the restaurant
The new resort has 88 rooms including junior suites, suites and royal suites, and all rooms have private balconies and terraces. In the Aquamadre Restaurant, named after the famous salt pans in the area, the chef’s creations will be accompanied by ten types of typical artisanal flavoured salts from the ancient Culcasi di Nubia salt pan. This is a Slow Food presidium and the only salt pan in this western region where, for over 100 years, just one type of salt has been collected once a year, by hand.
The Almablu Wellness & Spa will be expanded
The restaurant offers guests authentic cuisine with international influences and, there are two bars: the main Turchinu Lounge & Terrace and the Pool Bar next to the outdoor pool. At the end of 2022 the renovation and expansion of the new spa will begin. Inspired by the concept of the Almablu Wellness & Spa at Almar Jesolo it will be expanded to more than 2,700 square metres. There is also a relaxation area with comfortable loungers, a fully equipped gym, and three treatment rooms for face and body rituals and massages.
