“Our aim is to focus on an alternative to the sun-sea product”

The high season is from April to October, but May, June and September are the best months. “It is interesting to note that the number of visitors has grown in the shoulder months,- says Mayor Roberto Ragnedda. -Sardinia’s history is increasingly becoming a reason to travel. Our aim is to focus on an alternative to the sun-sea product, so that there is a better distribution of flows throughout the year. Highlighting our natural and cultural resources helps to attract a different target group more interested in outdoor activities and discovering the local area.”

Improving facilities for visitors

The number of visitors to Arzachena’s museum is also growing, going from 3,500 annual visits in 2023 to 4,000 in 2024, with good results in November and December. “Exhibitions and concerts during the Christmas period have proved to be winning initiatives for renewing interest attracting tourists and the local community - said Ragnedda.  “At the archaeological park we have installed new signage with maps and details at strategic points, while walkways and wooden fences have been completed,” added Ge.se.co director Anna Maria Zedda
